Power and geothermal
Power plants run on castings nobody thinks about until one fails: a soot-blower nozzle, a tube spacer, a pump bowl cast in America forty years ago. We cast them in heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant stainless, to a published standard, with the paper a plant's quality department asks for.
What we make
- Soot-blower nozzles and bubble caps in HK40 and similar heat-resistant stainless, by investment casting, machined, with design changes and alloy alternatives worked out with the buyer's engineers.
- Boiler tube attachments: spacers, hooks and clips in ASTM A351 CH20-type 25Cr-12Ni stainless, thousands of pieces to ±1 mm, heat treated and tested per heat, quoted against MHI-type purchase specifications.
- Geothermal pump castings: suction bells, bowls and impellers for vertical turbine pumps whose OEM castings are out of service, reverse-engineered from the worn parts with MIRDC-DOST; in development with a geothermal operator in Laguna and Batangas.
- Plant spares: valve bodies in CF8 and CF8M, pump casings, grate and wear parts for coal handling, heat-resistant furnace hardware.
What a power customer sends, and what we return
Drawing and material spec, or the worn part; the inspection list (per-heat chemistry, tensile, hardness, macro and micro, penetrant, dimensional on a sample, heat-treatment chart); delivery term and payment term. We return a compliance table clause by clause, a manufacturing and inspection plan, a prototype for your fit test, and a certified test report in English with the delivery.
Limits we state up front
- Our ovens reach 960 °C; solution anneals at 1,150 °C go to a heat-treatment partner under our plan.
- Liquid penetrant and tensile testing are done by accredited third parties and reported with our certificate.
- Furnaces melt in air: no vacuum grades.
- Sand castings to 100 kg; investment castings to about 20 kg.
The grade family we pour most, JIS SCH13 (25Cr-12Ni), is the heat-treatment fixture alloy of the Toyota Aisin, Isuzu and Mitsubishi transmission plants in the Philippines. CH20 and HH are its ASTM and ACI cousins.
