Historical markers and plaques, cast to last a century
We have cast the National Historical Commission's markers since 1980, and the markers and plaques of parishes, universities, embassies, companies and families. Raised cast letters in iron, stainless or bronze, on a frame sized to your text. Type your text and see the size it needs; we reply with the price. Here is what we make and how to order it without a single follow-up question.
Historical markers
The cast iron markers you see on churches, capitols, schools and battlefields across the Philippines. We cast them for the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP). The NHCP frame and seal belong to the Commission. A marker in that design is applied for through NHCP, which then orders from us.
Private and institutional markers
Your own text, in the same raised cast lettering, with your own seal or logo: parish bells and bell towers, university gates, ancestral homes, embassies, foundations, company anniversaries. Gray iron as standard; stainless steel or bronze when the setting calls for it.
Plaques and tablets
Dedication plaques, donor walls, cornerstone tablets, memorial plaques for chapels and memorial parks, bas-relief and portrait plaques from an artist's model. For signage, nameplates and headstones see Signage and memorials; for a name cast into a pan or a pot, Iron Fiesta Cookware.
Find your size
Markers come in fifteen standard frames, and your text picks the frame. The body is one letter size, in capitals, and the title is larger. Type or paste your text below and the size it needs lights up. Send it to us with that size and we reply with the price by message or email.
The size finder is a close guide, not the final word. We confirm the frame when we set your text on the layout, and send the mounting detail with it.
How to order, in five steps
- Send the text and the date Final or near-final text and the size the size finder picked, your seal or logo if you want one as a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG), the material and finish you prefer, where it will be mounted, and the unveiling date. Use the plaque form or email.
- Layout We set your text on the frame it fits and send a layout drawing. Check every letter, date, accent and diacritic: Ñ, é and dashes are each a cast letter and cannot be changed after the pattern is cut. Two revisions are normal.
- Price and quotation We reply with the price for your size by message or email, then issue the quotation on the approved layout, valid 30 days, taxes included, with lead time stated. VAT-exempt institutions send their certificate with the order.
- Purchase order and payment A signed quotation or your PO, and payment by bank transfer to Union Bank of the Philippines. GCash and Maya transfers to the same account are welcome. Private orders are prepaid; the lead time starts when payment lands.
- Pattern, casting, finishing, delivery The pattern is hand-set letter by letter, the marker cast, fettled, primed and painted (black with white or gold letters as standard), then picked up at Sto. Tomas or delivered by our truck or your forwarder. Standard lead time is 30 working days from PO and payment; 40 for the largest frames; 15 or 20 by arrangement.

Questions we are asked
Can I have the NHCP-style frame and seal on a private marker?
No. That design belongs to the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. Private markers use our own frames and your seal. If your site qualifies for an official marker, apply to NHCP; they order the casting from us.
Why one letter size?
Each letter is a hand-set pattern piece. One body size and a larger title size keep the pattern sound and the lettering legible from the street. It is also why a layout must be checked before casting: a changed letter means a new pattern.
Lowercase, accents and special characters?
Capitals are standard. Ñ and common accents are available as cast letters; tell us early. Long dashes, slashes and symbols are reviewed on the layout.
How is a marker mounted?
Cast lugs or bolt holes on the back, anchored into concrete or masonry. We give the anchor positions on the layout and can supply stainless anchors. A pedestal is the mason's work; we give the dimensions.
Can the marker ship abroad?
Yes, crated to ISPM-15, with the certificate of origin your customs needs. See Buying from the Philippines.
Do you repair or repaint old markers?
We repaint and refurbish markers we cast. Bring it to the plant or send photos first.
