Replacement castings for equipment that still has work to do
Can't get the original part? We cast it.
Kilns, glass plants, mill stands, pumps, compressors, furnaces and presses outlive their makers' parts lists. When the OEM is gone or slow, we reverse-engineer the casting from your sample or drawing, choose or match the alloy, and deliver with the paper your inspector needs.
Four situations where we get the call
The OEM discontinued it
The machine runs; the maker stopped supporting the model or left the country. We cast to the original part's function from a worn sample.
The import takes too long
Three to six months by sea, plus customs, for a part that fails without warning. A local pattern on our shelf turns that into weeks, and reorders into days.
The minimum order is too high
You need four. The overseas foundry wants forty. We pour one pot and keep the pattern for next time.
No drawing exists
Only the part, or only a broken half of it. We measure it, draw it, add the machining and shrinkage allowances, and show you the casting drawing before anything is cut.
From your problem to a running machine
- Sample or drawing Send the part, a drawing, or photos with a ruler. Tell us where it works: temperature, load, abrasion, atmosphere, how long the original lasted and how it failed.
- Measurement and casting drawing We measure the part, with 3D scanning and coordinate measurement at MIRDC-DOST when the geometry calls for it, and issue a casting drawing for your approval.
- Alloy We match the original by spectrometer, or recommend a published grade that suits the service better: JIS and ASTM gray and ductile iron, SCH heat-resistant stainless, high-chrome white iron, manganese steel, silicon bronze.
- Pattern Wood, resin or aluminum from our own pattern shop, or 3D-printed at MIRDC-DOST for complex shapes. Patterns stay with us, labeled, for your reorders.
- Heat Melted in induction furnaces, chemistry confirmed on the spectrometer before the pour, heat number recorded against your order.
- Test Hardness and microstructure in our laboratory; tensile and non-destructive tests at accredited partners when you require them.
- Finish and inspect Heat treatment, machining to your drawing on our CNC machines, dimensional report, mill certificate, delivery to your plant or to the port.

Castings stacked for annealing. The oven's temperature curve is recorded and goes to the customer with the mill certificate.

Where the need is highest
Power and geothermal
Boiler and soot-blower parts in heat-resistant stainless, vertical pump suction bells, bowls and impellers for geothermal plants whose American castings are out of OEM service.
Power and geothermal →Cement
Grate plates, replaceable lips, nose-ring segments, anchors, hammers and liners in HK, HH and HF stainless, manganese steel and high-chrome iron.
Cement plants →Glass
Blank and blow molds, neck rings, baffles and bottom plates in molybdenum gray iron, nickel-chrome iron and silicon bronze, annealed to your curve.
Glass container molds →Heat treatment
Trays, grids, posts, baskets and jigs in SCH13 and SCH21 for carburizing and quench lines.
Heat-treatment fixtures →Machine tools and mills
Leveling blocks, flanges, rollers, pulleys and adaptors in gray iron; rolling-mill guide inserts in ductile iron; crusher and mill liners in high-chrome iron.
Machine tools →Steel mills and mining →Buildings and water
Elevator counterweights, valve bodies, manhole frames and covers, pump casings.
Elevators and buildings →What to send us
The list below is the one our engineers work from. Send what you have; we will ask for the rest.
- Drawing (PDF, DXF or STEP) or the physical sample. Photos with a ruler in the frame to start.
- Material specification, or the service conditions: temperature, load, wear, atmosphere, how the original failed.
- Weight or overall size.
- Quantity now, and per year if the part repeats.
- Machined or as-cast; which faces matter.
- Tests and documents required: chemistry, hardness, tensile, penetrant, mill certificate, heat-treatment chart.
- Delivery date and place; Incoterm if you are importing.
- Current source and why you are changing. Target price if you have one.
What you get back
- Within two business days: whether we can make it, the process, and a first lead time.
- A casting drawing for approval before any pattern is cut.
- A quotation with tooling and unit prices stated separately, so reorders are priced on their own.
- Chemistry per heat, hardness, microstructure, dimensional report and mill certificate with the delivery.
- A stored pattern and a file we keep for the life of your machine.
Questions we are asked
How long does a first casting take?
Pattern work two to four weeks, the heat and finishing two to three weeks after. Reorders on a stored pattern ship in two to four weeks, faster for small parts.
Can you improve on the original material?
Often. A grate plate that cracked in HF can be poured in HH; a liner that wore in manganese steel may last longer in high-chrome iron. We recommend within published grades and tell you the trade-offs; the choice is yours.
Do you machine?
Yes. Five CNC lathes, vertical machining centers and grinders, with our Mitutoyo coordinate measuring machine for the report. Large or specialized machining goes to partners.
Can you ship abroad?
Yes. We quote EXW, FCA or CIF, pack to ISPM-15, and prepare the certificate of origin your customs needs. See Buying from the Philippines.
Who owns the pattern?
You do, once paid for. We store it, label it, and keep the casting drawing and heat records on file.
